This is a painting (/poster) I did to illustrate one of my poems.
The raven is also one of my favorite animals and I wanted to capture the 'steely' black shine of its feathers and their different 'contours'. And ofcourse its majestic beak and claws.

This work is part of a personal project to illustrate my poems and will ultimately be printed, either as posters or in book form.

It was a good exercise in texturing (feathers, beak, feet/claws) and balancing the layout between the 'painting' and the 'text'.
